Amazon has announced that it will offer several PC games, including eight SNK titles, for free from December 27th to January 3rd, as part of Amazon Prime Gaming, a prime membership benefit.
Amazon Prime Gaming gives away free games and in-game content every month but has a tradition of adding big-name PC games to its lineup at the end of the year. This is not the first time that SNK titles have been targeted, and in 2020, eight works such as "King of Fighters" and "Samurai Spirits Zero SPECIAL" were distributed for free.
By the way, all the free PC games this time are SNK titles except for "Dishonored 2". "Metal Slug", "Metal Slug X", "Real Bout Fatal Fury", "The King of Fighters 2003", "The Last Blade" )”, “The Last Blade 2”, “Twinkle Star Sprites”, and “SNK 40th Anniversary Collection”.
Among them, "SNK 40th ~", which collects games before NEOGEO, is rare to be distributed for free (29 dollars at Steam price), and it feels like a great deal.
Mobile games such as Farm Heroes Saga, Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga, and Bloons TD 6 also offer premium free in-game content (in India, Farm Heroes Saga and Candy Crush Saga” and “Candy Crush Soda Saga” are not available).
All of SNK's PC games are 2D action/shooting games, so even older laptops and less powerful UMPCs should be able to play with low load. It would be nice to change the room into a 90's arcade during the year-end and New Year holidays.
