Smartphones under the wings of the Motorola brand have already accustomed us to their subdued appearance and characteristic approach to islands with cameras. However, the upcoming Edge 40 Pro model may change this and return to the style associated with smartphones from a few years ago.

Camera island or induction cooker?
I still remember those times when everyone made fun of new smartphones because of the appearance of the camera island completely covered with glass or transparent plastic. In many cases, they resemble an induction hob. In recent years, the trend to create devices in this style has changed slightly and most manufacturers have switched to more subdued characteristics.
One of them is Motorola, which immediately reminds me of rounded islands in the color of the rest of the housing. The latest leak, however, indicates that the flagship model Motorola edge 40 Pro (so far referred to in leaks as Motorola edge X40 Pro) will differ from its predecessors in this respect and will offer an island that looks like an induction hob.

The renders also show the screen

In addition to the back, the fresh renders presented by MySmartPrice also show a 6.67-inch display, the sides of which have clear roundings. This means that we can expect a curved screen on the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, which in this way will maximally reduce the side frames of the smartphone.
In addition, at the top of the display, you can see a small dot-shaped notch in which the selfie camera will be placed. Its matrix is to have a diagonal of up to 60 Mpix, which is more than the main camera.
Premium workmanship and stereo sound
It is also worth paying attention to the lines visible on the sides, under which the antennas were probably hidden. So you can expect the presence of metal edges in the upcoming smartphone of the Lenovo-owned brand. In addition, there are suggestions that the entire back will be made of glass.
Of the less interesting issues, the renders show three buttons located on the right side of the device, and on the bottom, there is a USB-C port with a speaker, microphone, and a SIM card slot.
On the upper edge of the smartphone, there are also cutouts that indicate the presence of a second speaker and the second microphone in their place. This means that the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will most likely offer stereo speakers.
Specification and expected premiere
Rumors about the Motorola Edge 40 Pro have been circulating on the web for some time. It is known about this device, among other things, that it will most likely be based on a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and the most expensive variant can have up to 18 GB of RAM.
The display is to be made in OLED technology and offers a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and the battery will gain a capacity of 5000 mAh. Charging it shouldn't be difficult as it will support 68W charging.
The main camera is to have a resolution of 50 MPix, as well as one with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The third eyelet is a telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, combined with a 12 MPix matrix.
The official release date and price are not yet known, but it is expected that the debut month of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will be December this year. Let's hope that the manufacturer will value this smartphone well.
