Apple launches powerful whiteboard app Freeboard

Apple has released a whiteboard app called Freeboard. Free for all iPhones, iPads and Macs running iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2 and macOS Ventura 13.1.

Freeboard is a new app included in the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Organize and visually arrange content on a canvas to view, share and collaborate without worrying about layout or page size.

Various types of files can be embedded in the canvas and previewed as is. Designed for collaboration, it's easy to invite others to work together. Board data is stored in iCloud and can be synchronized between devices. FaceTime is built into the app, and FaceTime calls can be made with the freeboard open.

iPhone and iPad users can draw letters and pictures anywhere on the canvas with their fingers. Compatible with Apple Pencil, it can also be used as a simple sketch app for iPad.

Apple touts the app as a whiteboard-like way to gather inspiration and ideas in one place, with a canvas of infinite size and flexibility.
